Max Newton comes from a highly skilled career in insurance advisory, having worked with some of Australia’s largest companies including MLC and Lend Lease. After being successful for over twenty years in the corporate world, Max became more environmentally aware of Australia’s carbon footprint and decided to leave his corporate life to fulfill his passion in the environment and sustainable industry.
A Dubbo local all his life, Max obtained a superior marketing position for one of Australia’s biggest solar distribution centres.
Having spent four years with another solar company, Max was convinced that he had learnt enough about the solar industry and decided he wanted to manage and run his own solar business.
SolaMax saw Max’s past experience and passion for the industry and approached him to open a business to distribute solar products for the Dubbo and Orana region.
SolaMax offers product and material supplies from Apricus – the first choice of solar hot water, as well as full range of photovoltaic panels and Calclear water conditioners.
SolaMax is the local authorised dealer for LG panels who have been manufacturing electrical goods since 1958 and have one of most stringent quality control procedures when manufacturing their solar cells and solar modules.
The notable friendly, knowledgeable and efficient customer service at SolaMax is well known and is backed up by the best performing plumbers in the area including Anthony McIntosh and Tim Connolly who also own their own plumbing businesses.
Max loves his sport and is very active. He played A Grade-1 Squash for many years and now trains and races with the Dubbo City Cycle Club, and represents Cycle Road Racing, which brings out his competitive nature. Many residents cheer him at various cycling races all year round.
